Sarcopenia

Sarcopenia

Big data analysis investigating biomarkers, body composition, and functional outcomes in sarcopenia and age-related muscle loss.

Overview

Sarcopenia — the age-related loss of skeletal muscle mass and function — is increasingly recognized as a major determinant of morbidity in elderly and chronic disease populations. Our lab uses large-scale cohort data and big data analysis to identify novel biomarker associations with low skeletal muscle mass and to develop practical screening tools for clinical use.
